People happy after hearing the news of acceptance of Hazare’s demands
BHOPAL: Soon after the news of Hazare ending the fast reached Bhopal, large number of people broke into a dance, smeared gulal and distributed sweets at the Jyoti Talkies square to celebrate the victory of the people over corruption.
The movement has shaken the conscience of the government.
People expressed joy by smearing gulal and distributing sweets as anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare announced the end of his four-day long fast after the government gave into the activist”s demand on the Lok Pal Bill.
Terming the victory of Hazare as the victory of the people, activists taking part in the campaign said the movement has established democracy in real sense in the country.
Balkrishna Namdeo of Bhopal gas tragedy organisation said the huge support that the campaign has got in the country shows how much people were angry with corruption.
