Special campaign for reopening non-functional piped water schemes
BHOPAL: A special campaign for reopening non-functional piped water schemes has been launched by Public Health Engineering Department from 10 April.
The estimates for reopening of non-functional piped water schemes during their rural tours will be prepared under the campaign.
The projects whose pipe lines have been damaged will sought the sanctions at the earliest.
Those projects which were close due to nonpayment of electrical bills will be retested as soon as possible.
The State Government has decided to make a payment of Rs. 100 crore to State Electricity Supply Board for that purpose.
The effective action for proper drinking water arrangements in the rural areas in consultation with people’s representatives will be under during the campaign.
The officers have been instructed to get drinking water schemes physically verified and submit a report to the Engineer-in-Chief by April 15.
