Women left speechless seeing CM at close quarters
Bhopal: Women attending the function were left speechless after seeing the Chief Minister standing nearby them. They had never imagined that the Chief Minister whom they were seeing on the dais and cheering his speech moments ago will be so close to them. They thought they were day-dreaming. Their spell was broken when the Chief Minister asked an old woman, “Mai! Batao kya kaam hai” (Mother! What can I do for you?) and they started blessing him.
This was the scene at local Polo Ground in Shivpuri where Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Atal Jyoti Abhiyan in the district today. As soon as Shri Chouhan completed his speech, officers rushed towards his carcade. But contrary to expectations, the Chief Minister broke security cordon, climbed down the dais in a hurry and reached among common people where women were sitting in the front row. Eyes of women from remote areas were searching him on the dais, but were stunned to see that suddenly the Chief Minister stood very close to them.
When Shri Chouhan asked an elderly women from Kolaras Smt. Ramshri as to what was her problem, she stood speechless for some movements, then blessed him saying “Jug-Jug Jiyo”.
Sitaram, who had come to hand over his application to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, said that due to tight security it seemed unlikely that his application could reach the Chief Minister. When the Chief Minister completed his speech, Sitaram was gripped by disappointment. But when he saw the Chief Minister himself standing near him all of sudden and saying “Lao Baba Kagaz Mujhe De Do” (Please give your papers to me), he thought that he was seeing a dream.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan went round the venue, received applications from people and also directed officers to solve problems. People were filled with enthusiasm finding the Chief Minister amidst them.
