Water Resources Deptt. undertaking 15 works of Rs. 157 crore for Simhastha

Bhopal. Water Resources Department is undertaking 15 works costing Rs. 157 crore 57 lakh for ensuing Simhastha. Most of these works will be completed by the end of current month. Of these, most works pertaining to construction of Ghats and their strengthening on the banks of Kshipra river. On completion of these works, bath capacity will increase as well as Ghats will be beautified.

Besides, length of Bhookhi Mata Ghat from Lalpur railway bridge is being increased from 540 meters to 571 meters for Simhastha. Work on a nullah crossing bridge is also being undertaken from 310 meters to 323 meters of 750 meter length from Bhookhi Mata Mandir upto Dutt Akhada. Many of Water Resources Department works have been completed by 95 percent.

12 Simhastha-related works of Ujjain Municipal Corporation completed

Ujjain Municipal Corporation has completed 12 Simhastha-related works. Sanction of Rs. 338 crore 14 lakh was given to Ujjain Municipal Corporation for 54 works. Of these, 12 development works have been completed at a cost of Rs. 120 crore. Prominent among these works are laying of drinking water pipeline in Mela area, lake’s preservation and augmentation, development of sewage system, parks’ development and construction of cement-concrete roads.
