Vision 2020 to be chalked out for next 5 years: CM

Bhopal: A grand public reception was accorded to Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan by Indore Public Reception Committee at Indore today. Intellectuals, representatives of voluntary organisations, senior journalists, public representatives and large number citizens were present on the occasion.

In response to the public felicitation, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that this is a blessing of people to him. He said that service to people is his top priority and paramount duty is to work for development and welfare of the state.
Referring to state’s development, he said that its growth rate was minus 4 percent earlier, but during last seven years the growth rate has been maintained at 10 percent. State’s agriculture growth rate was 18.89 percent last year. Food grains production has increased by 30 percent. Shri Chouhan said that 24X7 power supply in entire state is a major achievement. He said that availability of round-the-clock power has brought about positive changes in state’s economy.
The Chief Minister said that Vision 2020 has been chalked out for 5 next five years. The state will be on top in the country in all respects during next 5 years.
Referring to Uttarakhand calamity, he said it is the biggest disaster of this century. The State Government has provided every possible assistance to affected families. So far, 741 pilgrims are missing. The State Government has deployed a team to trace them. Rs. 2 lakh assistance each will be given to families whose missing members fail to return.
At the function, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was weighed against 65 kg silver donated by various distinguished persons and social, cultural and commercial institutions of Indore.
Devputra chief editor Shri Krishna Kumar Ashthana read out a citation letter in praise of the Chief Minister.
At the function, light was thrown on Chief Minister Shri Chouhan’s life and deeds on a mega screen. Shri Hans Kumar Jain, Dr. Sachin Sharma, Smt. Rajni Bhandari, Shri Vijay Agnihotri, Shri Gautam Kothari, Shri Karan Mittal, Shri Ramesh Baheti and Industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya threw light on contribution and leadership of Shri Chouhan.
State BJP President Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, National General Secretary Shri Prabhat Jha, Industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, MP Smt. Sumitra Majahan, in-charge minister of Indore district Shri Gopal Bhargava, Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla, Minister of State for Health Shri Mahendra Hardia, MLAs Smt. Malini Gaud, Sri Jitu Jirati, City BJP President Shri Shankar Lalwani, Vice-Chairman of Minerals Development Corporation Shri Govind Maloo, senior journalist Shri Abhay Chhajlani, Shri Rajesh Chelawat and representatives of various religions were present on the dais.
