Vidyalaya Uphar Yojana launched for schools’ development

Bhopal: Now, cooperation of public will be sought for infrastructure facilities in government schools of the state. Any person, institution or industrial establishment can gift away material to any school from class I to XII. The School Education Department has launched “Vidyalaya Uphar Yojana”. Scheme’s brochure was released by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan during School Chalen Ham Abhiyan programme at Lal Parade Ground yesterday.
Under the scheme, lists of requirements in schools will be uploaded on education portal by the office of Development Block Resource Centre Coordinator. On the basis of this list, any person, organisation, group, trust or company can gift away necessary material to these schools. School Management Committee will issue receipt of material and thanksgiving letter to presenter of gift and post his name on education portal. At the school level, entire scheme will be managed by School Management Committee.
As per their convenience, persons, organisations and establishments can gift away necessary material for kitchen of hostel, water filter, water cooler, electric motor for tubewell, fans, CFLs, LEDs, solar light, solar power equipments, teaching aids, green board, maps, audio-visual teaching aids, computer, TV, battery and other equipments, bookshelf, almirah, equipments for science and lab, furniture, overhead tanks for toilets, leveling of sports grounds, repair of school building, whitewashing, boundary or fencing of school, construction of school rooms, making available land for school playground, construction of school building (under supervision of PWD) etc. as per consent of school management committee.
