Two Feared Drowned as Boat Capsizes in Narmada at Omkareshwar
In a boat capsize, two people have been feared drowned in Narmada river at Omkareshwar in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, reported PTI citing police.
Khandwa SP Hari Narayanchari Mishra said that the boat, ferrying 23 persons, was on its way to nearby temples when it overturned, said reports.
He said that divers, locals and police rescued 21 persons as pilgrims raised alarm, said report.
Police said that searches are on to find two persons identified as Devilal and Rahul Singh, who were missing, said report.
The incident occured about half-a-kilometer away from the main Omkareshwar Temple, report said.
