Three Girls Drown in Damoh

Three minor girls, one of them a two-year-old toddler, drowned in separate incidents in Damoh district, reported PTI citing police.

Police said that Kanchan Bai, the toddler, of Paudi Mangadh village under Jabera police station died after she accidentally fell into a pit near her house, said report.

Rakha, 9, belonging to Shishpur village under Nohata police station slipped onto a pond, said report citing police.

Police said that Rashmi, 8, hailing from Dupariya village lost her life on Tuesday night after slipping into a well in an agriculture field, said report.

Her body was fished out this morning, said report.

Cases have been registered in these matters and a probe was on, they added.
