Three Accommodation Units of Tourism Dept Launched

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has inaugurated three accommodation units under the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) on Madhya Pradesh Tourism Day.

The state celebrated tourism day along with an award ceremony, in which private parties and MPSTDC staff were honoured for their excellence in work.

The day is celebrated in remembrance of MPSTDC’s formation in 1978.

Chouhan, who attended the tourism day celebration in Bhopal, inaugurated the accommodation units from Bhopal, even though they are located in the different regions of the state.

The unit situated at Neemuch is located near the national highway amenity; it has two rooms and a restaurant. The other one is located at the Water Sports Complex in Halali; it is a resort model, which has four rooms and a restaurant. The third unit located at Water Sports Complex in Tawa is also a resort, which has eight rooms and a restaurant. 

MPSTDC is opening the three new accommodation units to provide additional stay facilities to consumers visiting Madhya Pradesh and promote water bodies and eco-tourism in these regions.

The information was provided by Commander Nigham, an Eco-tourism advisor with MPSTDC and Madhya Pradesh Eco-tourism Development Board (MPEDB).
