Sushma Accused of Infringing Election Code of Conduct
Bhopal: Taking serious note of BJP senior leader and party candidate from Vidisha constituency Sushma Swaraj’s allegedly making her vote public, MPCC has asked the Election Commission (EC) to initiate criminal proceeding against her and set aside her candidature.
In a memorandum to EC, MPCC chief spokesman Manak Agrawal said that Swaraj holding the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) has pressed the button in front of the public in a booth at Vidisha on April 23 which amounts to violating the ‘model code’ of conduct. He added that vote casting is not made public.
Agrawal has incorporated the photographs of Sushma holding the EVM in the memorandum submitted to the EC and demanded launching of criminal proceedings against her and setting aside her candidature from Vidisha seat.
