Survey for 20 minor irrigation projects to be undertaken in 7 disricts

Bhopal: The Water Resources Department has decided to prepare DPR of 20 proposed minor irrigation projects in 7 districts of the state after finding them technically and financially viable.
These include 8 projects in Damoh district, 4 in Rewa, 3 in Shajapur, 2 each in Rajgarh and Sehore and one minor irrigation project in Khandwa district.
While issuing orders to this effect, the Water Resources Department has directed officers to elicit written consent of beneficiary farmers during survey and preparation of DPR. Directives have also been given to prepare proposals for diversion of land/forest land for chalking out detailed survey and DPR. Instructions have been given to submit DPR of surveyed projects within 10 weeks and identified projects within 12 weeks.
