State Govt Issues Directives for Use of Vaccines
Bhopal — The state health department Tuesday advised medical staff, engaged in various vaccination programmes, to refrain from using vaccines two hours after they are mixed with solvents, said media reports.
The recommendations come days after the death of four infants, administered anti-measles vaccines, in the Damoh district of the state.
According to media reports, initial investigations into the incident, which is also being probed by a central team that arrived in Damoh Monday, have revealed that vaccine had turned poisonous as it was administered over three hours after it was mixed with a solvent.
