State Govt. functioning with respect to all religions: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan blessed 178 couples at 2 mass marriage functions in Sehore district today. The Chief Minister participated in mass Nikah ceremony of 153 couples at Ashta and 25 couples at village Kalwana in Nasrullaganj.
At the functions, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the State Government is functioning with respect to all religions. If the government is getting couples’ marriage solemnised under Kanyadan Yojna with Hindi rituals, it is getting Nikahs of Muslim couples solemnised under Nikah Yojna. This effort of the State Government is a precedent of communal harmony and unity.
On the demand of villagers, Shri Chouhan announced to upgrade middle school of village Kalwana in Nasrullaganj to high school. He also sanctioned construction of Idgah’s boundary wall. MP Shri Sajjan Singh Verma, MLA Shri Ranjit Singh Gunwan, ex-MP Shri Narayan Singh Kesri, State Forest Development Corporation Chairman Shri Guru Prasad Sharma and Madhya Pradesh Warehousing Corporation Chairman Shri Rajendra Singh Rajput were also present on the occasion.
