Sri Lanka Premier Arrives in Bhopal

Bhopal  —  Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Ratnashri Wickramanayake arrived in the state capital on Friday.  Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received the visiting dignitary at the Raja Bhoj Airport.

Later in the day, Wickramanayake called on Governor Rameshwar Thakur at the Raj Bhawan.

Chouhan hosted a dinner in Wickramanayake’s honour, the banquet was attended by a battery of ministers from the state cabinet.

Wickramanayake, on a three day visit to the state, is scheduled to inaugurate a Buddhist Prayer Centre at Sanchi, about 45 km from here.

He will inaugurate the Sanchi Vandana Niketana (Buddhist Prayer Centre) at the Sanchi world heritage site in the presence of the chief minister.
