Rs. 3.78 crore sanctioned for 12 piped water schemes of Jabalpur division

Bhopal: The Public Health Engineering Department has sanctioned 12 piped water schemes in Jabalpur division. A sum of Rs. three crore 78 lakh has been sanctioned for these schemes. Two each schemes have been sanctioned for Satna and Mandla districts, five for Balaghat and one each for Seoni, Katni and Chhindwara district. PHE Minister Shri Gaurishankar Bisen has directed construction agencies to complete these works within the prescribed time-limit.

A sum of Rs. 29 lakh has been sanctioned for drinking water scheme on Panjay Chandan river, Rs. 28 lakh for Manegaon, Rs. 30 lakh each for Umarwara and Sirra and Rs. 31 lakh for Khapa in Balaghat district. Rs. 45 lakh 44 thousand have been sanctioned for Majhgawan and Rs. 40 lakh for Bhatanwara in Satna district. A sum of Rs. 40 lakh has been sanctioned for Pindrai, Rs. 38 lakh 59 thousand for Raiwara in Mandla district, Rs. 24 lakh 98 thousand for Mandi in Seoni district, Rs. 16 lakh for Khairipaika in Chhindwara district and Rs. 25 lakh for Bakal in Katni district.

Public participation of three percent for general category and one percent for reserved category has been fixed in the cost of these piped water schemes. After completion, these piped water schemes will be operated and maintained by Gram Panchayats.
