Providing better health services is real service to humanity : Governor
Bhopal: Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav has said that providing health services to common people as per their economic capacity is the real service to humanity. It is not only the responsibility of government to ensure proper health services to people of rural and remote areas, but private medical institutions and voluntary organisations should also come forward for this. Governor Shri Yadav was addressing inaugural function of J.K. Hospital’s cardiology department on Kolar Road here today.
Governor Shri Yadav said that private medical institutions should come out of commercial limits and work with spirit of service and dedication. He said that foremost responsibility is to win the trust of people visiting hospitals with expectations of better treatment. Despite availability of all modern facilities, fear psychosis about some diseases assumes alarming proportions. He urged private medical institutions to create awareness about diseases and their treatment in remote and backward areas. Earlier, Governor Shri Yadav inaugurated the heart care centre.
At the function, Union Information Technology Minister Shri Kapil Sibal said that a law should be enforced to ensure availabilities of machines in hospitals so that machines can be made available to hospitals at the earliest.
Union Health & Family Welfare Minister Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad lauded Madhya Pradesh government for works being undertaken under Janani Suraksha Yojana. He said that the Union Government will extend every possible assistance for health care of women and children.
Home Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta said that the State Government is considering to provide special facilities to medical students and increase number of medical colleges.
Earlier, institution’s Chairman Shri J.N. Chaukse delivered the welcome address. Dean Smt. Swarna Bisariya Gupta proposed a vote of thanks.
