Bhopal: Following intelligence inputs pointing towards possibilities of LeT launched terror strikes at crowded places, police on Monday reviewed security arrangements at the BJP and Congress state headquarters in Bhopal.
“State’s Intelligence wing has received an input recently that LeT will launch terror strikes at crowded places,” Bhopal SP, Jaideep Prasad, was quoted as saying by media reports.
“Accordingly, top police officers reviewed the security at Congress and BJP offices as large number of people visit these two places regularly,” he informed.
The police captain along with DIG Ashok Awasthi visited the offices of both the parties and took stock of security preparedness, especially the functioning of the CCTV cameras, metal detectors and other security related paraphernalia apart from the deployment of troops guarding the premises.
The Intelligence wing has also advised the officials concerned to prepare a security plan for all important offices and crowded places in the state, said reports citing the top police official.
The visit by the local police was confirmed by BJP media in-charge Govind Maloo and Congress Spokesman Arvind Malviya, they added.
