Patidar community should come forward to make agriculture profitable: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged Patidar community to come forward to play significant role in making agriculture profitable in the state. The Chief Minister was addressing a regional convention of the community at Shujalpur in Shajapur district today. On the occasion, Shri Chouhan also announced Rs. 5 lakh each for educational institutions and hostels.
The Chief Minister described Patidar Samaj as laborious and cultured. He referred to significant role played by Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in rebuilding of nation. The Chief Minister lauded the community for not discriminating between sons and daughters. Informing about Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, Shri Chouhan urged Patidar community youths to set up agriculture-centric industries by availing benefits of this scheme. The Chief Minister also announced ex-gratia worth Rs. 1 lakh each for death of 5 members of family belonging to the community. Shri Chouhan assured to fulfil community’s demands soon.
MP Shri Sajjan Singh Verma, State Women Commission Member Sushri Kavita Patidar and community’s state president Shri Mahendra Patidar also spoke on the occasion. The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone for Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Girls Hostel and releases a souvenir.
Public Relations and District In-charge Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma, MLAs Shri Jaswant Singh Hada, Dr. Babulal Verma and Shri Santosh Joshi, Shri Arun Bhimawad etc. were also present on the occasion.
Blesses couples at mass marriage ceremony: Chief Minister Shri Chouhan blessed 228 newly wed couples under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana at village Chitoda Salampur in Shujalpur development block of the district. He also wished for long and happy married life to the newly weds. He announced to construct Mandawar-Salampur Road under Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana and sanction funds for Jatashankar Mahadev Mandir. In-charge Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma and MLA Shri Jaswant Singh Hada also spoke on the occasion.
