Over 6000 sports grounds constructed through MNREGA

Bhopal. Consider sports as inseparable part of all-round development of children, over 600 sports grounds have been constructed in the state through MNREGA. Rural children will be able to hone their skills at these sports grounds. Sports materials worth upto Rs. one lakh is being given under PIKA scheme. Employment worth one lakh mandays is also being provided to rural families through contruction of these sports grounds. Over 5,500 sports grounds are under construction in the state.

Youths are getting recruited in the army every year by practicing at sports gorund developed at Khadkhat Panchayat in Sehore district. Youths are also preparing for competitions of race, long jump, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, football, cricket and other sports.
