Online facility to youths in education loan in MP: CM

Bhopal: Youths in Madhya Pradesh will get online facility to avail higher education loans from banks. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated a software for online monitoring of Higher Education Loan Scheme at a meeting of State-level Bankers Committee here today. Shri Chouhan said that youths can perform miracles if given opportunities. Mukhyamantri Yuva Rozgar Yojna has been chalked out to provide employment to youths in Madhya Pradesh. A network of small scale industries will be laid in villages by availing benefit of 24-hour power supply. He urged bankers to cooperate in the scheme’s implementation to strengthen state’s economy.
Commerce & Industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, bankers and officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
Shri Chouhan stressed the need to taking youths’ aspiration seriously and help them wriggle out of red-tapism. Nowadays, every big industry is coming to Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, the State Government wishes to glut the national and global markets with products of Madhya Pradesh by setting up small industries in villages. Arrangements are also being made to impart training to traditional craftsmen in villages with the objective of making villages as a self-reliant unit. A small market will also be developed in every village for these craftsmen. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojna has been calked out for youths and Swarozgar Yojna for small craftmen. Under these schemes, the State Government will give loan guarantee and interest subsidy for 5 years.
Shri Chouhan said that the State Government has chalked out a number of schemes to ensure that benefit of development reaches to common and poor people. Poor people’s dream of own house will be fulfilled through Mukhyamantri Aawas Mission and Shehri Aawas Yojna. Madhya Pradesh is progressing fast and contributing to country’s progress. The state has registered worthwhile development in agriculture and irrigation sectors. Every village in the state will start receiving power for 24 hours from May this year. Skill Development Mission has been launched to train youths. The State Government will extend every possible effort in branding and marketing of products manufactured by youths. He said that bank credit is capital of the country and bankers’ should work keeping this in view. He urged for united efforts to create a sense of doing something for the state and country. Banks should cooperate with youths and give them guidance.
Commerce and Industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya said that banks play an important role in implementation of development schemes in the state. Nowadays, big industries like TCS and Infosys are coming to Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh’s economy is unaffected by global recession. Bankers should cooperate in ambitious schemes like Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojna.
Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram urged the banks to fully cooperate in important schemes of socio-economic upliftment. Innovative schemes like Mukhyamantri Aawas Mission and Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojna have been launched in the state. MoUs under them have been signed by all the bankers. The State Government is paying special attention to skill development. Central Bank of India Chairman Shri M.V. Tanksale said that banks are now focusing on rural and semi-urban areas. They are introducing ultra banking in villages. A conference of lead banks’ managers is held every six months. He said that all the banks should implement social sector schemes within time-limit.
At the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed higher education loans to some students through online monitoring software. Reserve Bank of India Regional Director Shri Dinesh Khara, Additional Chief Secretary Shri P.K. Dash, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Aruna Sharma and Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Ajita Bajpai Pandey were also present on the occasion.
