Online facilities for all departments of Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL (MPINFO): Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed that like Commercial Taxes Department, online facilities should also be provided in the Excise Department.
All the departments should move towards e-payment arrangement. Chouhan was reviewing the activities of Commercial Taxes and Finance departments on Friday. Finance Minister Raghavji and Chief Secretary Avani Vaish also attended the meeting.
CM said that priority should be given to revenue collection. The staff engaged in tax collection should not be deployed in other works. The department should ensure better training arrangements for officers and employees associated with tax collection. Construction of check-posts should be completed within time-limit.
The meeting was informed that revenue worth Rs. 15 thousand 204 crore has been recovered from commercial taxes in the state during the last nine months. It is Rs. 900 crore more than the last year. The meeting was informed that the Commercial Taxes Department will set up a separate training institute. The department is providing online facility for registration, Form-49 and Form 60, C-Form and details. The arrangement of giving registration number soon after registration of online application is prevalent only in Madhya Pradesh in the country.
