One Person Dies of Swine Flu, Toll Reaches 35 in State
One person has died of H1NI virus infection in the state capital, with swine flu toll in Madhya Pradesh now soaring up to 35, reported PTI quoting health officials.
Madhya Pradesh Health Department Director Dr A N Mittal said that Vijay Prakash Vijaywargiya, a bhajan singer and social worker belonging to Guna district, died of swine flu at a private hospital yesterday, report said.
The victim, who was a relative of Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya, tested positive for H1NI virus and was referred to Bhopal from Guna some days ago, report quoted Mitta as saying.
He said that with this death, swine flu toll in the state reached 35 and that government was effectively tackling the disease, said report.
“There was only one person suffering from the disease at Indore in Madhya Pradesh right now,” Mittal was quoted as saying.
