Now, Dindori district also receives 24X7 power supply

Bhopal: Now, Dindori district will also receive 24X7 power supply. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Atal Jyoti Abhiyan in Dindori district on Monday. Shri Chouhan said that apart from domestic use, power should also be used to spread network of small and cottage industries in villages.
The Chief Minister also announced to open college at Gadasarai, Rs. 2 crore for Dindori town’s development, sanction of requisite funds for Narmada purification scheme and construction of Adivas\ti Bhavan at Ram Nagar Chaugan in Mandla district.
The Chief Minister said that main target of the State Government is to ensure all-round development of last person in the last row of society. He said that forest land right documents have been distributed to about 1.75 lakh tribals. Apart from sanction of Kapil Dhara wells to them, bunding of their agricultural fields is also being done. Residential cottages are also proposed for them.
He said that flat rate of Rs. 1200 per horsepower per annum has been fixed for farmers. They can deposit this amount in two installments in a year. He informed that power bills of upto 25 unit of the poor will be waived. The Chief Minister urged villagers to send their children to school positively. He said that if tribal students take admission in private medical and engineering colleges the State Government will ensure that fees from them is charged at par with government colleges. If students fail to find accommodation in hostels, they will be provide rent to occupy a room for studies.
Veerangana Durgawati, Avantibai and Durgadas Rathore’s statues unveiled
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled statues of Veerangana Durgawati, Avantibai and Durgadas Rathore. He said that these martyrs safeguarded self-respect till their last breath. He said that they sacrificed their lives for the sake of country.
Vanya Community Radio launched
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Vanya Community Radio at Dindori. It will telecast programmes in Baigani dialect and Hindi. Information about schemes for welfare of tribals will also be broadcast from the radio station. Besides, local artistes’ programmes will also be aired in local dialect. Its broadcast will be heard in 37 villages.
Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that Atal Jyoti Abhiyan will be launched in the all the districts of Madhya Pradesh by July 3. He said that now farmers will get minimum 10-power supply for irrigation. Labour Minister Shri Jagannath Singh also spoke on the occasion.
