No lack of funds for Gwalior’s development: CM

Bhopal: State government is committed to ensuring planned development of Gwalior city. Lack of funds will not be allowed to hinder development projects here. This was stated by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He was holding discussions on Gwalior city’s various projects with Ministers, Mayor and district collector at Gwalior’s Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Airport today.

The Chief Minister reached the airport after taking stock of crops affected by unseasonal rains and hailstorm in the division’s Shivpuri and Datia districts. He was accompanied by Commerce & Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra.
Chief Minister was informed by Mayor Smt. Sameeksha Gupta and Collector Shri P. Narhari about Rs. 165 crore flyover projects on city’s busy roads and Rs. 99 crore project for new roads under CM’s Infrastructure Development Scheme Phase-2. The Chief Minister heard about these projects intently and assured that state government will make efforts to provide funds for them.
Directives to complete crop survey by March 5
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also held discussions on crops affected by unseasonal rains and hailstorm in Gwalior district. He directed the collector to ensure completion of crop survey by March 5 in any case. Shri Chouhan said that as per government’s wish, survey should be liberal so that farmers can get maximum relief as per Revenue Book of Circulars 6-4.
