No entertainment tax on musical fountain and laser show

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated state’s first musical fountain and laser show at Neelam Park here today. Shri Chouhan announced that no entertainment tax will be levied on musical fountain and laser show. Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Babulal Gaur, Member of Parliament Shri Kailash Joshi, Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur and MLA Shri Dhruv Narayan Singh were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government will extend full cooperation in introducing such programmes aiming it adding new colours to life and removing tension. He congratulated Bhopal Municipal Corporation for auditorium project.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Neelam Park has now become more beautiful. The laser show started here is not only entertaining, but will also emerge as centre for knowledge and patriotism. He said that the State Government has resolved to make Bhopal best city of the country and the world. City is improving constantly. Roads are becoming good. Hustle and bustle is increasing in parks. He said that Boat Club has also been improved a lot. A plan is being chalked out to place a steam engine over there. On the occasion, Shri Chouhan appealed to people to extend active cooperation in School Chalen Hum and Beti Bachao Abhiyan. At the function, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan honoured Shri Mahesh and Shri Harish of Bengaluru, Municipal Corporation in-charge engineer Shri Udit Garg, architect Shri Shailendra Bagre and other concerning officers by presenting the mementos towards their contribution in the construction of auditorium.

Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur said that the auditorium has been constructed with a view to providing healthy entertainment to citizens of Bhopal city. Citizens can come here easily since it is situated in the heart of the city. She informed that Rs. one crore 83 lakh have been spent on the project. She informed that the municipal corporation is carrying out several works for promoting tourism. Launch of a floating restaurant is under consideration. The Tourism Department is planning to develop Boat Club at a cost of Rs. 1.50 crore.

Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Kailash Mishra proposed a vote of thanks. Sushri Suhasini Joshi rendered Vande Matram on the occasion. Leader of Opposition in Bhopal Municipal Corporation Shri Mohammad Saghir, members of Mayor-in-Council, corporators and large number of citizens were present on the occasion.

At the outset, guests performed pooja and Kanya Poojan.
