NCW Seeks Report on Stripping of Tribal Girls

Taking note of alleged stripping of tribal school girls by their teacher, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has strongly objected to the incidence occurred in a school in Vidisha district, seeking a report on it.

“We are seeking a report from the state government as well as the education department on the incident,” said NCW chairperson Girija Vyas.

According to report, the teacher allegedly stripped tribal girls at the pretext of taking measurements for school uniform.

It may be mentioned that MP government provides school uniform to girls free of cost. The teacher allegedly took this as a pretext to “misbehave” with the young girls studying in class III, IV and V in a Bidisha school.

“This is not done and it cannot be tolerated. Whether they are small children or not we must protect the dignity of our girl students,” Vyas said.
