“National Pledge Day” on October 31

Bhopal: “National Pledge Day” is observed on October 31 every year. At present, model code of conduct is enforced in the state for Vidhan Sabha elections 2013.

The General Administration Department has apprised all divisional commissioners and district collectors that political persons should not be made chief guest, guest of honour, chairperson etc. at Pledge Day functions. No speeches will be delivered on this occasion. Directives have been given to pay special attention to model code of conduct while organising the programmes.
