Mumbai Woman Gangraped in Moving Car
A woman from Mumbai who had come here with her husband was gangraped in a moving car, police said on Thursday.
According to police, the incident took place when Pramod and his wife, who were waiting for a public transport near the Asaram Bapu Ashram in Gandhi Nagar locality, took a lift in an Innova car.
In the car, which had dark tinted glasses, there were four people including the driver. After the couple boarded the car, people sitting inside held Pramod hostage at gun point and raped his wife even as the car continue to move, said police.
Culprits later left the couple on a dark road and ran away. The couple then reached the Gandhi Nagar police station and lodged a complaint.
Gandhi Nagar station house officer (SHO) Anurag Pandey said the woman was raped by three people in the car. “We have registered a case. The victim has been sent to the hospital and efforts are on to identify and nab the culprits,” he said.
