Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana launched in Mandsaur district

Bhopal: The 2nd phase of Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana in Mandsaur district was launched at a function at Mandsaur today. Food & Civil Supplies Minister and in-charge of district Shri Paras Jain said that the State Government is trying to improve living standard of the poor. He said that wheat and iodised salt at Re. 1 per kg and rice at Rs. 2 per kg is being provided to the poor. Now, a poor person can purchase entire month’s ration in just one day’s wages.
Transport Minister Shri Deora said that Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana has been launched from April 1 to enable jobless youths become self-dependent. The State Government is providing loan guarantee to students for higher education. He said that food grains on subsidised rates are also being provided to senior citizens through pink ration cards. He said that Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Free Medicine Distribution Scheme and Free Pathology Test Scheme is also providing much relief to citizens. The Transport Minister said that prompt action will be ensured on receipt of any complaint regarding irregularities in the Annapurna scheme.
MP Shri Raghunandan Sharma, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Kushal Devl Malviya, MLAs Shri Yashpal Singh Sisodiya, Shri Radheyshyam Nanalal Patidar, Madhya Pradesh Planning Commission Member Shri Sudhir Gupta and large number of citizens were present on the occasion.
