More than Rs. 1957 crores deposited in Bank accounts of Drought affected Farmers

Bhopal. A sum of Rs. 1957 crores has been deposited as a drought relief in the bank accounts of the farmers through co-operative banks in 32 districts of the State. The Minister of State for Co-Operatives (Independent charge) Shri Vishwas Sarang has informed in this regard.

Shri Vishwas Sarang also informed that a sum of Rs. 1975 crores 76 lakhs has been provided by the State Government to the State Co-operative banks and societies for the affected farmers and a sum of Rs. 1957 crores 15 lakhs has been distributed. Also, distribution work has been carried out on war footing.

It is to be noted that 22 crores 65 lakhs in Katni, 21 lakhs in Balaghat, 64 crores 65 lakhs in Seoni, 14 crores in Narsinghpur, 130 crores 36 lakhs in in Sagar, 119 crores 65 lakhs in Damoh, 49 Crores in 86 lakhs in Panna, 115 crores 18 lakhs in Chhhatarpur have been deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers. Also, 44 crores 64 lakhs in Tikamgarh, 37 crores 76 lakhs in Rewa, 115 crores 92 lakhs in Satna, 89 lakhs in Sidhi, 35 crores 75 lakhs in Jhabua, 35 crores 78 lakhs in Alirajpur, 55 crores 48 lakhs in in Khargone, 10 crores 99 lakhs in Ujjain, 102 crores in Neemuch, 221 crores 7 lakhs in Dewas, 187 crores 96 lakhs in in Shajapuri, 108 crores 46 lakhs in in Agar- Malwa, 45 lakhs in Gwalior, 54 crores 51 lakhs in Shivpuri, 29 crores in 27 lakhs in Guna, 83 lakhs in Ashoknagar, 8 crores 70 lakhs in Morena, 74 crores 91 lakhs in Bhopal, 13 crores 54 lakhs in Sehore, 24 crores 28 lakhs in Raisen, 263 crores 88 lakhs in Vidisha, 12 crores 9 lakh in Rajgarh, 1 crore 37 lakhs in Betul and 9 lakhs in Hoshangabad have been deposited in the bank accounts of the affected farmers.

Instructions as regard to immediate distribution of the balance of the relief amount of Rs. 18 crores 28 lakhs have been given by Shri Vishwas Sarang to the officials, which is pending due to various reasons.
