Bhopal — Culture and Public Relations Minister Laxmikant Sharma reviewed preparations for cultural programmes, to be organized as part of Madhya Pradesh Utsav, at a meeting of senior officers in the state capital on Wednesday. Sharma also inspected preparations underwazy at the Ravindra Bhawan premises.
The meeting, among others, was attended by Secretary Public Relations Manoj Shrivastava, Bhopal division commissioner Pukhraj Maroo, district collector Sheo Shekhar Shukla, commissioner Bhopal Municipal Corporation Manish Singh and senior district administration officials.
As part of the week-long Utsav, several cultural programmes will be held in the state capital (November 1 to 7).
During this period, exhibition ‘Madhya Pradesh – an introduction’ and an exhibition on Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage will also be held.
The main function of the Foundation Day will be held at Lal Parade Ground on November 1. National and State level artistes will participate in the festivities.
Sharma instructed officials to ensure active participation of large number of residents of Bhopal in the programmes being held to consolidate the feeling of ‘Apna Madhya Pradesh’.
