Madhya Pradesh’s economy to undergo magical change: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh’s economy will undergo magical change. In the present scenario, development of every country and state depends on power. Shri Chouhan was congratulating Energy Department officers invited to his official residence on completion of Atal Jyoti Abhiyan here today.

Shri Chouhan said that he is happy over fulfillment of resolve 24X7 power supply in the state like a child who is ecstatic after getting a thing of his choice. He said that power will play most important role in construction of Madhya Pradesh. It result into spreading of network of small and cottage industries in villages. He said that after attainment of 18.89 percent agriculture growth rate and constant 13 percent increase in it has played the most important role in bringing Madhya Pradesh on first position in growth rate in the country this year. Lauding officers of all three companies on success of Atal Jyoti Abhiyan, the Chief Minister said that today he wishes to congratulate by embracing them and not by mere handshake. Now, the challenge of cent percent satisfaction of consumers is ahead since now supply of power 24 hours will not be news, but failure of power for even half an hour will hit headlines. He urged officers to show their skill, efficiency, ability, willpower and sensitivity in fulfilling the resolve of 24X7 power supply.
Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that resolve of 24X7 power supply has been fulfilled due to strong willpower of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Shri Shukla also congratulated and extended best wishes to all employees of power distribution companies.
Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram said that gone are the days of purchasing inverters in the state. Round-the-clock power supply is being ensured now due to strong willpower of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan.
Principal Secretary Energy Shri Mohammad Sulaiman said that revenue from energy was Rs. 7,500 crore, which has now increased to 15 thousand 284 crore. He said that Madhya Pradesh will get adequate power in year 2020 also.
Senior officers and engineering staff of power distribution companies were present on the occasion.
