Lokayukta Instructs Probe into Attorney General’s Assets

Bhopal: In case of acquisitioning disproportionate assets, the Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta has issued notices to various departments in Jabalpur to probe into a complaint lodged against the State Attorney General, Ravinandan Singh and his wife Sushila, who is Mayor of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation.

According to sources, the Lokayukta had initiated an inquiry against Singh and his wife about a month ago after one Manoj Tripathi, based in Bhopal, filed a complaint against Singh and his wife.

Sources said that Tripathi, in his complaint, had alleged that the Attorney General and Mayor of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation were accumulating assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
