Land Dispute Kills Three in Raisen

Bhopal: Killing Fields: Three members of a family were on Friday killed while three others sustained wounds after being attacked by their relatives over a disputed piece of land at the Agria Nayapura village in the Raisen district, some 80 kms from the state capital.

Confirming the incident local police identified the dead as Manzoor Khan, Shahid and Rafique, and added that the motive behind the gruesome incident was personal enmity over a piece of land.

The six men were on their way to the court, when they were ambushed by nearly three dozen attackers.

The bloody rivalry between the two families is said to be almost a year old and the Friday incident was to avenge a killing last year, say media reports.
