Industries to be set up in remaining areas of Dhar district: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that industries will be be set up in remaining areas of Dhar district. Shri Chouhan was addressing an Antyodaya Mela at Dhamnod in Dhar district today. At the fair, he laid foundation stones for 3 construction works costing Rs. 20.62 crore and distributed material worth Rs. 59.33 crore to 5 thousand beneficiaries.

Shri Chouhan said that major electricity bills of the poor will be waived. He said that if needed, the State Government will compensate Power Distribution Company against electricity bill waiver from its own exchequer. He said that this decision has been taken to ensure that houses of the poor also remain lightened up with power supply. For this, facility of free power upto 25 units will be given to the poor. He said that now people of the state are getting adequate power supply. Efforts will be made to change rural scenario through power supply. For this, efforts are being made that small and cottage industries are set up in villages.
He said that a proposal has come up for using NVDA’s land at Dhamnod for setting up of industries. It will be examined. If it is found that NVDA does not require land for rehabilitation, then it will be transferred to Industries Department for setting up of industries and businesses.
The Chief Minister said that youths are being encouraged to set up industries through Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana. This will provide employment to youths, people’s living standard will improve and state will be come prosperous. Shri Chouhan urged youths to set up businesses and industries and become self-dependent through self-employment.
CM gives gifts worth over Rs. 77.95 crore
At Antyodaya Mela, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave gifts worth over Rs. 77.95 crore to common people. The works for which he laid foundation stones at Antyodaya Mela include Rs.17.17 crore Mukhyamantri Pey-Jal Yojana, laying of 8.5 kilometer long pipeline from Narmada river to Dhamnod, Rs. 1.66 crore for upgradation and beautification of 1.2 long patch of AB Road under Mukhyamantri Adhosanrachna Yojana and Rs. 1.79 crore for new building of 30-bed community health centre at Dhamnod.
Women & Child Development Minister Smt. Ranjana Baghel, Minister of State for Medical Education Shri Mahendra Hardia, former Minister Shri Vikram Verma and MLA Shri Panchilal Medha also spoke on the occasion. Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla, MLAs Smt. Neena Vikram Verma, Shri Mukam Singh Kirade and Shri Rajkumar Mev, Zila Panchayat President Shri Manoj Gautam and a number of other public representatives were also present on the occasion.
