I’m Fighting with BJP itself, Says Party’s Candidate Mahajan

Bhopal: At a time when sailing through ongoing Lok Sabha elections seems quite easy and smooth for the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, senior party leader Sumitra Mahajan has said that the party organization should cognizance of the infighting.

Mahajan, who have contested parliamentary elections seven times from Indore, said that the infighting is plaguing her election this time.
 
“In this election, it seems to me that I was fighting against my own people rather than the Congress,” Mahajan said.

When asked if she was saying that it is the BJP itself she is fighting with this time, Mahajan said, “How can I say that those who worked against me belonged to the BJP?”

Continuing in the same vein, she added that now it was for the BJP organisation to tackle this malaise and ensure that it does not harm the party in the long run.
 
Despite this, workers right from the lowest rung to the topmost level had worked hard and sincerely for her and this would ensure her victory, the senior BJP leader said.
