House Catches Fire, Six Persons Asleep Inside Burnt Alive
Six persons, including three children and two women, were burnt to death on Tuesday night as the house in which they were asleep caught fire, said media reports citing police.
The incident took place late Tuesday night in Baguada village of Khargone district, reports said.
Soon after fire started in the house, flames grew so intense that the victims, who were fast asleep inside, could not escape and were burnt alive, reports said.
According to reports, three girls died in the incident were identified as Munni, Sheetal and Shivani, all between the ages of six to 12, and two women as Jayanti and Chanda Bai. The sixth victim, Rakesh, died later.
Mannu Sirvi, the head of the family, was not present in the house at the time incident took place, said reports.
The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
