Heavy Rains in Various Parts of MP

Heavy rains fell on Monday in several parts of the state, including Bhopal, Datia, Sagar, Ujjain and Gwalior.

According to Met office, a maximum rainfall of 10 cm was recorded in Nagaon village in Chhatarpur district. Six cm rainfall was registered in Pachmarhi and Ujjain each, five cm in Gwalior and Ratlam, four cm in Datia, three cm in each in Satna and Bhainsdehi and two cm each in Raisen, Damoh, Sagar, Khajuraho and Shajapur.

Met office said that the monsoon normally ends in Madhya Pradesh every year by September 30, but this time because of the low pressure in Vidarbha and Telangana the state is witnessing rains during the first week of October also.
