Heavy rainfall and hailstorm witnessed at several places in the state

Unseasonal rains are continuing in the state, on Saturday, it started raining with strong winds in many areas of the state including Bhopal, Indore. Hailstones were witnessed in some areas.

Good rainfall was reported in in Mandsaur, Vidisha and Raisen districts. Due to this change in the weather, people got relief from the strong sunlight and heat.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for thunderstorms, rain and hailstorm in many parts of the state for the next few hours. Hail accompanied by rain has been predicted in 11 districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of active Western Disturbance in North India is visible in many districts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain. There are chances of rain on June 4 and 5 as well. In the second week of June, the phase of thunderstorms will start again. Monsoon can enter the state by June 20.

In Bhopal, in the midst of strong sunlight, heat and humidity since morning, clouds appeared in the afternoon. Strong winds started followed by rain. It started drizzling in some areas of the city at around 4 pm. After this it started raining heavily.

In Indore, the weather suddenly changed in the afternoon and it started raining. Due to which people got relief from the heat.

Mandsaur and surrounding areas also received rain on Saturday afternoon. In many areas, hailstones with strong winds were witnessed. According to meteorologists, on June 1, Western Disturbance became active in North India, whose effect was visible from Friday itself. This is the reason why there was a change in the weather.

It started raining in Vidisha and Raisen districts adjoining Bhopal after Saturday afternoon. The Meteorological Department has said that the weather will remain like this for the next 3 days.
