Gwalior: Police Bust Fake Currency Racket

The Madhya Pradesh Police on Wednesday said it had arrested six persons, including four teenagers from Rajasthan, for their involvement in the circulation of fake currency.

According to the police, two arrests were made in Gwalior while the four teens rounded up in Dholpur district of Rajasthan. Fake currency amounting to Rs two lakh was recovered from the gang members.

Acting on a tip off, a police party police picked up Ajit Jain and seized some counterfeit currency from him. Later the police rounded up Ajmer Singh and recovered 12 fake Rs. 500 notes from him.

Singh informed the police that he brought counterfeit notes from village Gata in Dholpur, where the four teens were arrested.
