Gupta Urges People to Vacate Houses Occupied Unlawfully
Home Minister Umashankar Gupta has urged people who are occupying houses in an unauthorized manner to vacate them.
Gupta said that if the people who are illegally occupying houses fail to vacate them, they would be issued a warning within three days and that the house would then be evicted by launching a drive with the help of police force. No discrimination would be observed in carrying out the action.
Currently, 59 houses are being occupied in an unauthorised manner.
Appealing occupants of these houses to vacate them on their own, the minister said that the accommodation would then be allotted to the needy person on the waiting list.
Gupta undertook a detailed review of the situation of government accommodations with the officers of Directorate of Estates at the Mantralaya today.
Those present at the meeting included Minister of State for Home Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Principal Secretary Home Rajan Katoch, Secretary ishwa Mohan Upadhyaya, Director Estates & Deputy Secretary Home Smt Renu Tiwari and Allotment Officer Pramod Kumar Shukla.
