Govt. to take initiative to help migration-affected Sindhi families: CM Shri Chouhan

Bhopal: Carrying forward spirit of respect to all religions, birth anniversary of Lord Jhulelal was celebrated at Chief Minister’s residence with enthusiasm and fervour today. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended greetings of Cheti Chand to Sindhi community members invited from all over the state. On the occasion, the Chief Minister was felicitated on behalf of Sindhi community.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the State Government is keen to take an initiative to extend every possible assistance to members of Sindhi community who are gripped by problems due to migration. He said that “Sindhu Darshan Yatra” will be included in Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana. Describing Sindhi community as a community which has moved forward through extensive entrepreneurship and culture, the Chief Minister said that cooperation of all communities will be availed in ensuring development of Madhya Pradesh through entrepreneurship.
Referring to Sindhi community’s religious leaders and martyrs, Shri Chouhan said that country will remain dynamic only through keeping culture and civilization alive. He said that no public welfare work is impossible. It looked impossible to remove backwardness of Madhya Pradesh, but now the state is pioneer in a number of sectors in the country. Be it growth rate, agriculture growth rate or ensuring 24-hour power supply, Madhya Pradesh is marching ahead in every sector. He said that objective of politics is to serve people more than grabbing power. He said that Cheti Chand Festival will be celebrated at CM’s residence every year.
Describing the Chief Minister as a modern-time Jogi, Sant Hirdaram’s disciple Siddhabhau said that Shri Chouhan is committed to ensure good governance. He said that right to exercise power vests with the one who is keen to serve people with the spirit of selflessness and sacrifice. He said that Madhya Pradesh is fortunate that it has got leadership of public welfare-oriented Chief Minister in Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He lauded Chief Minister’s innovative and public welfare schemes.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Ishwardas Rohani said that Sindhi community has never compromised with principles. They have also suffered pain of migration as a result of their ideology. He congratulated Chief Minister Shri Chouhan on behalf of Sindhi community for hold Cheti Chand Mahotsav at CM’s residence.
Members of Sindhi Community felicitated the Chief Minister for further enriching spirit of respect to all religions.
On the occasion, cultural programmes were also held highlighting Avatar of Lord Jhulelal and Sindhi culture. Lauding performance of dance group who presented “Damadam Mast Kalandar”, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced cash prize of Rs. 25 thousand for them. Sindhi Sahitya Akademi also announced Rs. 11 thousand prize for the same performance.
At the programme, Sushri Anila Sundar and her group highlighted Sindhi culture in the form of ballet. Songs and music based on mother power’s worship were also presented on the occasion. Mahant Chandrama Das, Gyani Dilip Singh, MP and ex-Chief Minister Shri Kailash Joshi, Smt. Sadhna Singh Chouhan were also present on the occasion. Writer Shri Ashok Manwani conducted the programme.
