MP Govt to Recruit 1500 Police Personnel
Nearly 1500 police personnel will be recruited soon for decreasing workload on police force in big cities and enhancing quality of investigation in criminal cases.
Home Minister Umashankar Gupta gave above information to Chairperson of Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission Justice DM Dharmadhikari during a courtesy call today.
During the meeting, Justice Dharmadhikari and Gupta discussed human rights and various other human interest issues and the former attracted latter’s attention to quality of investigation in criminal cases.
Justice Dharmadhikari told Gupta that the commission has adopted several novel methods for better protection of human rights including constitution of District-level Advisory Committees for providing relief to crime-affected people, suggesting that cooperation of these committees can be taken for effective disposal of cases during Jansunwai of Police Department.
Informing Gupta of Service Recruitment Rules proposals of 18 employees of the commission pending with the government, he said that justice would be administered to them if their cases were disposed of at an early date with the coordination of concerning ministers. These rules have been formulated for the employees of Lokayukta and Arbitration Tribunal, he said.
The Chairperson said that the state government has extended all possible cooperation to the commission and hope for the same in this case also.
Stressing avoidance of unnecessary force on crowds to disperse them, he said that even if necessary, only minimum force should be used, for unnecessary use of force smears the image of government and violates people’s human rights. He said that use of force is not necessary and justified everywhere.
Home Minister assured that state government will continue to cooperate with the commission and that suggestions made by it will be implemented.
Commission’s member Vijay Shukla, Registrar DK Pauranik and Principal Secretary Rakesh Agrawal were also present on the occasion.
