Government has taken Concrete steps towards light in state: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state has taken concrete steps towards light which will brighten fate of every resident of the state. The Chief Minister stated this while launching Atal Jyoti Abhiyan for 24X7 power supply in Sehore district at development block headquarters Ashta today. Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla also spoke on the occasion. Shri Chouhan said that availability of continuous power will give a new direction to state’s development. He said that it will lead to expansion of industries and business in the state due to which every person will get employment.

No need to fill oil in chimney now: He said that setting up of industries in villages areas will boost rural economy. It will also end dependence of employment on agriculture and government service. The Chief Minister said that now, students in village need not fill chimneys with oil since they will also be able to read under electric light. Similarly, villagers will not have to sleep covering themselves with wet sheets during summer.

Know how to make impossible possible: Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he knows how impossible can be turned into possible. He informed that people did not believe supply of 24-hour power is not possible in the state. But, he took pledge to realise this with strong willpower. The Chief Minister said that if one is committed to a task, he attains the target and now everyone is seeing results of this resolve.

Poor will also have houses: Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that land will be provided to every poor person in cities and villages to construct his own house. Optimum assistance will be given to them for constructing houses. He said that the government will also extend optimum assistance for treatment of poor persons. They will be treated at government cost. Free medicines will be provided to them.

Let him sit on my chair: During the speech, the Chief Minister saw a disabled child tying to climb up the dais. The Chief Minister asked if he wanted to come to the dais. When the boy kept silent, Shri Chouhan directed to bring the child to the dais and make him sit on his (Chief Minister’s) seat. The boy was seated there. With natural smile, the Chief Minister said, “This is called Jantantra…..prajatantra…Janata ka raj.”
