Four Villagers Killed in Naxal Violence in Chh’garh

In two separate incidences, Naxalites killed four villages, a father-son duo of them, in Bijapur district, police said.

Ankit Garg, Superintendent of Police, said that Maoist, on suspicion of being police informers, hacked to death Kamruddin, 60, and his son in Basaguda area in Bijapur district, 400 km from Raipur.

The two had been abducted four days ago and their bodies have been recovered, Garg said.

Kunjam Balram was killed by naxals who barged into his house on Thursday and looted household items in Garel village, Inspector General of Police, Bastar, A N Upadhaya said.

The Naxals also killed a former headman of Hirapur village Punem Hunga who was abducted on Tuesday.

Jhari Nagesh, a panchayat secretary of Mallepalli village who was abducted along with Hunga, is untraceable.
