Five SIMI Men Nabbed, Gujarat to Seek Two for 2008 Blasts

Bhopal  —  Madhya Pradesh police have arrested five activists of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in Indore city, informed police officials on Wednesday.

The five, identified as Mohammad Shafiq and Mohammad Yunus of Ujjain and Sheikh Sajid, Arshad and Firoz of Khandwa, were arrested from the Khajrana area of the city late on Tuesday.

The Gujarat police will seek custody of Shafiq and Yunus, who were wanted in connection with the July 2008 serial blasts in Ahmedabad.
