Expired Medicines Unearthred at CG Hospital
Stocks of expired medicines were recovered from a government hospital in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Saturday, the cache was unearthed during a surprise inspection by a team from the state human rights commission, say reports attributing info to officials.
State Human Rights Commission secretary Dilip Bhatt informed correspondents that an eight-member team carried out surprise checks at the district government hospital in Raipur’s Pandri locality and found the expired medicines.
The team lamented the “gross mismanagement” at the hospital after it went through the attendance register and other documents, and visited the out patients department (OPD) and operation theatre facilities.
He added that not a single doctor was available on duty for the first half of Saturday.
