Everyone’s participation necessary in development: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that everyone’s participation is necessary to race for development. The State Government will extend loan guarantee to people of all sections of society for setting up their businesses. Everyone in the state will get 24X7 power supply and power will also be supplied for 8 hours for agriculture works. This will benefit both farmers and owners of small and cottage industries in villages. Shri Chouhan said that the State Government is trying to spread of network of small industries in villages. Bank loan guarantee will also be given by the government to entrepreneurs for setting up these units. The Chief Minister was addressing a women’s empowerment and farmers’ convention at Mahidpur today.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has recently started work on Narmada-Kshipra Link Project to save Malwa region from becoming desert. The scheme will be completed in 4 phases. He said that poor people will be provided wheat at the rate of Re. 1 per kg, rice at Rs. 2 per kg and iodised salt at the rate of Re. 1 per kg from June. The Chief Minister said that only livelihood, clothing and housing is not enough for common people, but free education and health care are also being provided to them by the State Government.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the State Government has implemented a number of schemes for making agriculture profitable. Now, loans are being extended to farmers at zero percent interest rate. Rs. 150 per quintal bonus is being given on support price. He urged farmers to lift adequate quantity of fertilisers for next crop.
At the convention, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 8 works costing Rs. 34 crore 47 lakh 22 thousand and distributed cheques to beneficiaries under various schemes.
Food Minister Shri Paras Jain, in-charge of the district Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Shri Babulal Jain, State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Dr. Mohan Yadav, Jan-Abhiyan Parishad Vice-Chairman Shri Pradeep Pandey, District Cooperative Bank Chairman Shri Lal Singh Yadav, District Land Development Bank Chairman Shri Kishan Singh Bhatol, MLAs Shri Shiv Narayan Jagirdar, Shri Rajpal Singh Sisodiya and other public representatives were also present on the occasion.
