Ensure effective steps to prevent dengue, malaria: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed entire health machinery in the state to remain vigilant for keeping water-borne diseases under check during monsoon season. He directed to ensure immediate and effective preventive measures to control disease in the tribal-dominant districts from where reports of malaria and dengue have come. He said that there should be no laxity in treatment of patients.
It was informed at the meeting that fogging is being undertaken in malaria-prone areas. Tests of patients suffering from ordinary fever are being conducted. Teams of health workers visiting village to village and informing people about preventive steps. Adequate medicines has been kept for 3 months in all district hospitals. District hospitals have been equipped with all necessary implements. Doctors teams have also been sent to districts. People in dengue-prone areas are being made aware through anti-dengue awareness vehicles. Free medicines are being distributed to patients visiting hospitals.
Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, principal Secretary Health Shri Praveer Krishna, Commissioner Health Shri Pankaj Agrawal and Dr. Sanjay Goyal also attended the meeting.
