DMRC to Study Feasibility of Bhopal Metro

Bhopal  —  The Urban Administration and Development Department has inked a memorandum of understanding with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to study the feasibility of launching the metro rail service in the state capital.

According to the terms of the document, signed by PS UADD, Raghav Chandra and DMRC Director, Mangulal, the corporation will conduct relevant surveys and submit a feasibility report to the state government in six months time.

The DMRC report will identify suitable routes, standards and specifications for the metro project in the state capital.

Urban Administration Minister Babulal Gaur said that a metro rail service, on the lines of the one already operating in the national capital, would be introduced in Bhopal in the next seven years.
